I have friends who are fans of other teams, and I just think that people that aren't familiar with the Panthers just see the "towel on the head" or think that he will turn into Jamarcus Russel.

Maybe some of them look at his passing TD/INT ratio without properly adding in Cam's rushing TDs and yards.

They dont know enough about Cam's intangibles and drive to succeed like we do.

today Cam, but if they both were rookies, then i would consider Manning, but today, no doubt. Newton's younger, has more potential and hasnt had a neck injury yet.

THe poll nationally was a choice for 2012- Peyton or Cam. More took Peyton assuming he is back to 100% and we are talking 2012 only.

If this were stated as" who would you take for the next 10 years- Newton or Manning" the results would be very different. Most of the posts here assume we are talking now and down the road not just for 2012.

i don't think that peyton would do better here in 2012 than cam will.

the offense is tailored around cam newton's strengths. peyton, as good as he is, can't do what cam can.

the whole offense would have to adjust and they'd have to get used to a new signal caller.

sorry...no way would i do this. difference in wins would be nominal. cam newton is good enough to get this team to the superbowl.

What a healthy Peyton can do with his arm far surpasses whatever Newton can do right now. But in reality its about long term.

I'm taking Cam. Peyton coming off 4 neck surgeries and we don't know if he'll be as good as he was pre injury.

Cam was a Top 10-15 QB as a rookie with no offseason/ota's. This will be the 1st time he will have the opportunity to be in the same scheme for back to back seasons. He has great work ethic & desire to get better. All signs point to further improvement.
