Peyton or Cam

Is a healthy Peyton better than Cam? Objectively, yes.

Given all factors (age, wear and tear, salary, future potential, etc) would I swap Cam for Peyton right now? Definitely, no :nonod:

This is one of those ideas that makes way more sense in Madden than it would in the real world.

It is funny because not only is Peyton vs. Cam not 90% Peyton-10% Cam in Charlotte, but on their national poll on the ESPN website it is only 65% Peyton-35% Cam.

I love me some Peyton and just because of him the Colts were my second favorite team while he was there. But I would still take Cam who is just scratching the surface of his potential and scored 35 TDs last season despite all that room to grow. How many TDs will he account for when he has 4 years experience??

Skip Bayless is an idiot, but why wouldn't you want Peyton, assuming he's 100%.

If I want to win now, and I have a choice between a 2nd year Cam or an 100% Peyton, I'd take Peyton in a heartbeat. He's the better QB.

because we're capable of taking the long view and we've already made cam our QB.

if we want our star QB to be loyal to us for the next 15 years, we got to show him loyalty.

if we had yo gabba gabbert as QB, yeah, i can understand wanting to bring in peyton. same with The Golden Calf of Bristol.

panthers are building a team with newton at the center and they and the fanbase have bought into it.

we aren't interested in some old QB that could be spectacular for a couple years if he can 100% recover from, what is it now...4 neck/back surgeries in just a couple years? not if it means letting our QB who smashed peyton manning's rookie records as well as a couple more go back and sit on teh sidelines.

sorry, but we'd be the dumbest team in the league if we did that. we've got our QB for the near and distant future. we've got one that we fully believe is capable of taking this team...this offense that has been built around him...all the way to the top in the very near future.

cam gives this team the better chance to win not just in the future, but next year as well. it's his team.

ask this...who would you rather have:

a 23 year old peyton manning entering his second year in the league in perfect health?

or

a 36 year old peyton manning entering his fifteenth year in the league in much less than perfect health?

What some people fail to realize is that Skip Bayless is PAID to be a clown. His sole purpose is to incite and bring reactions out of people who disagree with him, which is pretty much everyone. Otherwise, who would watch ESPN? It would be the same old boring poo.

In regards to Cam vs. Peyton, I'd take Cam in a heartbeat - and this is coming from someone who walks the same halls, learns from the same teachers, and breathes the same air that Peyton did, every day.
