Pro Bowl Selection

Peppers and Smith are the two that will definitely go. I think that Beason and DeAngelo deserve it, but they may miss out because they aren't as well known around the country. In DeAngelo's case, he wasn't really putting up huge numbers for a large portion of the voting period as well.

I think that DeAngelo and Beason will both end up as alternates and most likely going though.

I also agree that Hoover is worthy, as he has played his best season in the league in my opinion...but I don't see anyone giving him a chance.

I think that Gross and Wharton will both be alternates on the line. Wharton probably deserves to be voted in, but again, he'll miss because of the popularity aspect.

The other possibilities to get a nod (most likely as alternates) are Kasay, Harris, Gamble, and Richard Marshall as a special teamer.

Don't forget that the Pro Bowl selections also include a players vote and a coaches vote. I'm not sure but I believe that the players and coaches votes weight more in the final outcome than the fan vote does.

I actually think that Hoover has the best shot of any Panther to make the Pro Bowl. All of the big name FBs are no longer playing. Hoover has actually gotten some airtime on some media shows and that is the only FB in the NFC I've heard them talk about. Not to mention that he arguably is the best FB in the NFC right now.

Hoov has earned it over the years.

Dropping passes like he did recently won't help him tho. :hand:

Yeah, those drops on MNF didn't help him any. Still I don't see another FB in the NFC playing better than him or with as much, as little as it may be, media attention. With no big names like Strong or Alstoch(sp?) FB will probably be decided by the players/coachs' vote and that is where IMO Hoover gets the nod.
