Arkansas wide receiver/punt returner Joe Adams to have meeting with the Panthers

Recommended Posts

Apparently, another Razorback who was supposed to meet with the Panthers was throwing him the ball that day. (Ryan "cocaine" Mallet for those who don't know/remember). Here's the link...http://www.arkansassports360.com/29895/razorback-pro-day-3-and-out-mallett-returns-to-throw-joe-adams-cant-get-40-time-down

One interesting quote I found was this...

He already improved his vertical from 36" to 38" since the combine, so maybe he'll get his speed improved. I doubt he'll ever get to a 4.2, but a 4.3 isn't bad either. Discuss.

Lol touche. Didn't Smitty have a 36" vertical? I try to look at his combine numbers every once in a while but they hard for me to find.

Wow that's one of the best returns ive ever seen.

^^^ Guy definitely has speed.

But, from that clip all I saw was about 8 Tennessee players miss tackles. That was terrible tackling.

I would love to have him as a returner. But, that was bad tackling more than making great moves to make guys miss.

Btw, Joe Adams really fits the mold of the "scat-back"/Darren Sproles type player that Rivera seems to be looking for. Last season, he had a TDs from rushing, receiving, and punting returning. He's good, he's fast, and he's very much like Steve Smith.

I projected this pick in my last mock draft because honestly, he fits what we're looking for to a T.

Not that I wouldn't be thrilled to have him returning kicks for us...but this guy screams "I'm going to get drafted higher than I should then be labeled a disappointment because a team took me too early" to me.

Draft him where he should be and he'd be a great pickup. But someone somewhere is going to watch his highlights, jerk off in the corner over Devin Hester punt return highlights, and draft him too soon.

1st and 2nd clip really showed his elusiveness and were better than the original clip. First one was BAD tackling. Other two showed great speed, elusiveness, and decision making.

I would LOVE to have this kid. Just meant that the original clip really was not his best plays.

lol, I just showed the first one because it's one of those Dante Hall (y'know, from when Dante Hall was relevant.) type plays.

The other videos show more of what he is, and I think what he is could definitely fit what we're needing. If we could somehow get a third round pick, I wouldn't mind if all if it was used on Joe Adams.
