jordan senn to be released

Recommended Posts

jason was hurt and we also got thomas williams

And Gaither was hurt before Halloween. How do we know he sucks?

phillips didn't do a whole lot in his two starts iirc. gaither was a healthy scratch towards the end of the year. forgot about thomas williams. i like him outside of the 2-3 unsportmanlike penalties he got. but he's also a free agent...

Yeah, I don't understand re-signing Phillips but letting Senn go. Senn played ST and stepped up really well when his number was called on defense, and Phillips just looked subpar everytime I saw him.

I'm thinking P55 is right... Guy like Schwartz and Senn may be expecting more for playing well, but our FO thinks they can be had back for cheaper than the tender... They let them test the market and see if they come back.

senn does not look anything like what you would call a starting linebacker so nobody should be really disappointed that we're letting him go

He's a back-up and ST player, he isn't suppose to look like a starter. No poo.

Please, make news. When Jyles Tucker is the biggest thing we've done well, that's disappointing. I really, really want something to talk about it.

We're all expecting a big year this year, sure we be nice if you could throw us some bones throughout the offseason to keep up the excitement.

I'm not happy he is gone but he wasn't nearly as good as people on here claimed he was.

I got to agree with you. I think people tend to think he is better than what he is because he is a Panther. Yes he did have some decent games and had some great plays but he also gave up a lot of big plays and we can do a whole lot better.

zero reason for him to be on the team. Don't give me "he is a good special teamer" I don't buy that crap. I know a lot of people have gotten used to John Fox and his ways of having only guys for special teams, but Rivera and the new staff want guys that can play great special teams, but also provide great value at a position. Jordan Senn just didn't cut it. He had great heart and I cheered for him, but this is one of those moves that needs to be done.

Very fast for LB but 5'11 and only 224lbs.

Like Spence from the U? Who ran a sluggish 40 at the combine, but many on here want.

Prolly going to let him shop himself for a better situation and when he can't find work, consider him for min contract

Obviously people think back-ups are suppose to perform like pro-bowlers.

Not really, but the "next man in" philosophy is a good one. You want a player who can sustain if not improve. Senn has heart and motor, just lacking in size and athleticism. He is a liability when in the game. I love his effort and fire, but we need a notch or two better if he has to play.

It looks as if they are trying to improve the depth behind Davis. Do not think RR is going to let the LB situation stay the same. If we are going to let TD try to return, rest assured he will have stellar depth behind him should/when the knee goes out again.

And for those who think Beason and Davis should have input in personnel decisions or are in the know, this should explain that they do not.
