Just read up on the kid. Had quite the college career. All American, drafted in the 5th round, strong leg and still relatively young.

Looks like he never really got a shot in the NFL (missed 3/6 in preseason and missed a 30 yardstick week 1 and got the axe)

He did hit 7 FGs in a game in Canada. I wonder if he can punt too? If not he may legitimately be Mare's replacement.
