Just finished 'Unbroken' by Laura Hillenbrand. Pretty good story...would make a great movie I think. It's a biography about Louis Zamperini who was the youngest (at the time) Olympic 5000 meter contestant ever. It's really an amazing story. He ran in the 1936 Olympics and many thought he would be the first to break the 4 minute mile. He planned on competing at the 1940 Olympics but because of the war (soon to be World War II), he didn't get the chance.

Speaking of reading... I'm working on Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series now... about 3 books into it. Really enjoying it...

I'm reading the (complete) Atopia Chronicles, by Matthew Mather. Multi/alternate/synthetic/parallel realities novel taking place on a created city-state island in the Pacific. Mind blowing when you try to wrap your head around the various "multi-verses". Good story and the guy can actually write too.

I would really recommend the Kingkiller Chronicle to anyone who's a fan of medieval fantasy. It started out slow, but now I'm almost as eager for the third book to come out as I am for GRRM's Winds of Winter.

Just finished Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. It was actually pretty good.

I'm watching the movie right now and it's nowhere near as good as the book...who'd have thought.

I've just started Apocalypse Z. Having loved World War Z so much I had my doubts that this was a rip-off.

Its not a rip-off, its very good. The book is a blog from a guy living in Spain. A mysterious incident in Russia, disease vectors, etc. then all hell breaks loose. Highly recommend.

I was thinking about getting that one. In the meantime I've been reading through The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I read the first two when they came out, but didn't read the rest. I'm going to try and finish the series by next summer.

Also just read The Godfather. Never have read the book. The movie followed the book pretty closely...the book was just a little more in depth. In the book, Johnny Fontaine and the chick that Sonny banged at the wedding have a bigger role.

I also just bought Sherlock Holmes The Complete Collection...I have never read any of it, so thought I'd give it a shot.

Just read: My Seinfeld Year By Fred Stroller.

Fun, quick read. If you are a huge fan of the show like I am you will enjoy the book.

Fred Stroller is one of those actors/writers you've probably seen 1,000 times and can't put a name to the guy. He's been in Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, My Name is Earl, and he's the phonebooth guy in Dumb and Dumber.

Started reading it and it bored me to tears about a third of the way through. So I stopped. I picked it back up a couple of weeks ago, and I am really struggling to make it to the end. I just don't see much to it.
