I have no issue with the political stuff.

Many accounts have them.

My issue was with the writing. Clearly, Robinson did Mr. Luttrell no favors. I guess that is what you get when a fiction writer of action/adventure novels is tabbed to write a nonfiction account.

Should have had Couch or someone with credibility AND skill do the job.

It reads like a Mack Bolan novel intended for 6th grade boys.

Scratch that, I kinda liked Mack back in the day.

I just think marcus and his Team deserved better.

Just cuz it was a NYT bestseller doesn't make it well written.

Maybe that's what it was and I just wasn't seeing it as the writing, but you have a good point. It was almost like it was piecemeal in the way that the story flowed... and it seemed to me that there were contradictory statements a LOT in there. So yeah, I guess the writing was most of the issue I had with it...

Haven't read anything new since finishing A Dance with Dragons. Since getting my Kindle Fire I've actually gone back and reread old favorites of mine. Mostly Steven King stuff (It, The Stand, etc). I'll be checking out that book epi posted though...that one sounds pretty good.
