Do you ever make decisions on your own, or do you pick and choose where said destiny applies?

There is no harm in preparing for anything. I don't think any of these people, so far, are trying to cheat death. Delay it, maybe, but not avoid it completely.

Yes, they are extreme examples. That is why they are on TV.
