Apple to Announce New iPad

The ASUS tablet coming out is quad-core and will be like $250, most likely, better specs and more functionality. You can buy 2 of those for the price of this.

That's cool and all, but I like the Apple App store. Plus more developers are doing things for the ipad than android apps. I enjoy the operating system as I had android for 2.5 years and will never go back.

To each thier own... you can happily enjoy your $250 tablet, I will enjoy my $729 tablet.

Mine got the "Silver Warrior is about to die" thing going on. Engine is about shot and I got some rust starting on inner door bottom of passenger door. Driving it till it blows up than crushing it.

Most experts expect android to quickly over-take the IOS this year, which in turn will be driving more people to android for apps. Besides who PAYS for apps? You act like the Android store doesn't have apps, but in reality, has about the same amount.

I'm happy you like your overpriced Apple. You have fun, while I have complete control of my device, that has more power, and cost 1/2 or 1/3 the price. Most tech people realize Android gives them more of what they want, but I understand Apple is made for non-tech people so it's much easier to use.

Personally, I don't pay 3 times the price of something for a logo when the former is superior......

Superior is relative to the user in this case... My sister has a samsung tablet and I just don't like it... I feel like android is to buggy not as user friendly and main stream enough for me... while they may have a # of app it's not up to the quality of apple apps in my opinion...

Also saying android will take over the ipad is speculation.. for every article or opinion you find stating that I can find one from other analyst stating the opposite... Also a big part of the android market gain was due to the kindle fire... and people who have the kindle also have ipads... I would get a kindle fire but not as a replacement to my ipad... it would be an upgrade of my kindle.

I never understand why non apple users have to trash on apple so bad? I do not trash on android, just stated I tried it and it was not for me. But I am glad you like yours... That's the good thing about having ipads and android tablets... everybody can find what's best for them and not worry about what is best for others.

Pretty much, supposed to be 4 times faster also... It's just the new cycle and they kept their price points the same.

I'm fine with my old iPod touch that doesn't have a camera. Whatever generation that is. Still works.

When this thing dies, maybe I'll seriously look into a tablet.

I've been looking heavily at the Asus Transformer Prime...it's quad-core as well...what's this $250 version you speak of?

I have the 2. I like it.

I think it is just what you get used to using.

I find the droid platform clunky, but that could be due to my own clunkiness and not a reflection on the machine.

The 2 was a gift, so it came at the best price...free.
