The Braves

CLASSIC Braves, lol. So glad I jumped ship.

BJ with the tie, Justin with the win, Kimbrel with the save.

Ouch.

Sucks but I still feel like that organization as a whole is in better shape than this time last year. Farm system is reloaded with a bunch of talent, just got a poo load of a high school pitchers from the draft, and the team itself is doing way more than what anyone anticipated. The pieces we got back in those deals our already starting to benefit. Jace Peterson has been solid and Cameron Maybin has been a pleasant surprise and Shelby Miller has been an all-star this year. Not to mention all the prospects that are coming up. If you would have told me that we would have been 2 games back from 1st place at any point this year, I'd call you crazy.

Draft ALL the pitchers!!

Looks like they'll be using that international money for position players now. Gotta wonder if they are thinking about selling high on a guy like Perez, but I doubt it while still in the divisional race. Kolby Allard hopefully gets over his back issue because the potential there is exciting.

I'm officially going to start to wonder how will replace Gonzo at the end of the year when his contract is up. The bullpen is awful, but the way he manages it is a joke.

Wisler looked really good and Perez has done nicely since moving from the pen. Hopefully we get 'good' Teheran today and can sweep the Mets before heading into the Nats series.

Oh, and the Braves basically gave the DBacks some money for their first round pick last year. Yet another top pitching prospect, 19 years old, that can get up to 97 on his fastball.

They are doing what they need to against these bottom teams to put them in decent position at the All Star break. AJ and Maybin have been big after the loss of Freeman.

Tough decision for the front office. Are you buyers, sellers or somewhere in between. Guys like Johnson and Grilli have pretty good trade value right now.

definitely sellers.  the team has definitely exceeded all expectations but the only reason they still have an outside shot at the playoffs is because we're in such a bad division.  even if they did somehow slide in we'd probably get wrecked by like the Dodgers or Giants.  Hart is still building for the long term.  The guy I'd look for them to move is Maybin and possibly Grilli.  Especially Maybin, he's having by far the best season of his career and at 28 I doubt he's in their longterm plans.  Hart knows Maybin's return will probably never be higher than it is now.
