Poe is Mayock's top DT

We learned from Detroit this year that you can never have enough good interior defensive linemen.. with a future of Poe/Brockers/Cox + Fua and McClain the rotation should make life much easier for our Ends and Linebackers to stop Tight Ends

Poe smells a bit too raw for Carolina's tastes at #9, but I could be wrong. I'm thinking Nick Perry or Stephen Gilmore, even though one might not be available at 9 and one might be a big time reach there.

Nick Perry is projected to play OLB in a 3-4.

ALL of the experts are saying that he would struggle as an every down DE in a 4-3.

He was tied for 5th prior to the combine...that was based on his play and knowing he had a great skill set. IMO it just confirms the gap between 1 and 6 is small...

Also, in now way does Mayock turning his top 5 upsid down mean most experts agree...

I think this is spot on.

There are 5-6 Good DT's in this draft (all are closely rated and each has question marks). There are not any dominant DT's in this draft that are plug and play studs.

That is why I want to sign another DT in FA and go a different direction in the draft.

I dont think that there is really a dominant DT in this draft, but if I had to choose one, I would choose Poe.

He has the natural things that cant be coached, size, strength, speed and explosiveness.

Our coaches can teach him the technique and anything else.

I'd choose Cox.
