It's always a good idea to continue going even if you're not sure what for. Several people don't work in the field they got their degree in (me being one of them) but it's certainly easier getting a career with any college degree rather than none at all. Think of it this way... since kindergarten and two years of college you've been in school for about 15 years...you have two left....TWO! no point in giving up now. But I understand, I also got very apathetic. You just have to break through to the other side and catch another wind. Once you do, you'll be fine.

Man I have certainly been where you have before but my advice is to just get involved and meet people, try and do things that you want to do. Even if your degree is specific or not specific at all reach out to resource that can help you accomplish what you want. Be it internships, whatever, etc. Personally I am finally starting to narrow my path. I am almost done with a Political Science degree and although i know it is as bullshit as any other social science I am at least doing what I can to make myself more well rounded. Specifically at UNCC they have groups like the Model United Nations team that will really look good on your resume, build communication skills, and you even get some travel opportunity.

I studied abroad in Australia last summer and that really opened up my eyes. I'm trying to study abroad again this summer. You need to take opportunities like that as they only come around so often. My passion though is film and I am quite thankful for some wonderful professors at UNCC to show me how it works. I'm trying to land an internship for the summer with a studio. In addition to all that I am constantly working on my POS LR Discovery and I am thinking about shadowing a land rover tech over the summer if he'll take me on. Even still I am undecided about much of my life but I made a lot of strides just by seeking things out.

Once you are out, you can't imagine how much faster life moves.

For instance, when your parents aren't paying for:

Rent

Car Payment

Health Insurance

Car Insurance

Spending Money

Electric Bill

Gas Bill

Vacation

Food

Etc.....

What happens if you have a disease, ailment, disability and you can't get into the Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Army? Let's not even be that negative....most folks can't get into the armed forces right now because they are downsizing every branch.

Then what?

Get a nice job as an electrician, making good money, renting a nice home, and driving a Toyota Tundra....life is good. Meet a really sweet teacher from your home town, and bam engaged, and a baby is on the way.

Electrician (if you are lucky) or electricians helper for the next 35 years. Trying to support a family by crawling through peoples attics, and pulling wire. Right up to the point where your son comes home one day from NC State talking about dropping out because he can't "find his way".

Don't think it doesn't happen that way, because it does.

Stay In School. It's only 2 more years, and they are the least responsible 2 years you will ever have.
