I would be seriously surprised if it wasn't true. The Saints offered Brees the largest contract in NFL history last year, and he turned it down. They weren't able to get a deal done the entire season, or up until now, and now they've locked him into a one-year deal for less money than ever, and used their tag on him rather than finishing a deal and tagging Colston or Nicks?
