I have left the following Bandwagons

Kurb

as of yet, no one. in fact i've added a couple.

combine didn't really change my mind on anyone except for a couple that impressed me.

with our first pick i'd be happy enough with brockers, poe, jenkins, kirkpatrick, kuechly, cox, or even ingram.

i'm not hard core on anyone's bandwagon, though my preference is to go DT with the first pick. whether that's brockers, poe, or cox....i don't know and i don't really care. i'd be happy with any of them.

sitting at 9 is a really tough spot. i still haven't figured out who i want

poe to me is a huge reach at 9. brockers and coples i think will be decent in the nfl, just not big time impact guys you want in the top 10.

i heard a lot of good things about ingram but after looking into him i'm not blown away and i don't really trust his size.

i would love to get claiborne but there's zero chance he falls and I wouldn't want to trade up. jenkins and kirkpatrick I think will be good but again just not worth a top 10 pick.

don't like spending a top 10 on a WR, especially when it's not a big need, unless they're the next calvin johnson which blackmon really isn't.

still i don't know much about. cox is an interesting prospect, want to look into him more. other than that I don't know. tough spot

Brockers

Poe

Any TE before round 4

Jenoris Jenkins

Strange DE/OLB hybrid people.

What bandwagons have you abandon ?

Poe looks pretty good rushing the passer from the DE postion, but he's a long term project, not a NFL ready DT. I seriously doubt he would have much of an impact for us in his first season here. In the long run he could develope into a decent NT who can stuff the run. Don't want him in the top 10.

Jenoris Jenkins - Opposing QBs will attack him in the red zone with high throws to taller WRs, jump balls, he doesn't weigh much either, and will struggle to tackle the big NFL WRs. Don't want him in the top 10.

Strange DE/OLB hybrid people. I think Hurney has learned his lesson, and I don't want them either unless they knee bend like Dwight Freeney.

    • I'd give it a C mainly because of Brooks.  If we just didn't have a 2nd I'd argue B to B+ tbh. Brooks was a bad gamble, tho one that could still pay off long term. Yes XL only has 400 yards but... Look who is throwing him the ball. And I think he isn't a "true #1" but he's been able to consistently get open. Hands definitely need to be cleaned up.  But he should end the year with 500-600 yards. Like you said - Sanders looks great.  Get him a better QB / more time with a QB and I think he's gonna impress. We added a couple rotational players on D that have both made plays and show promise for the future from later rounds. So I'd say, Brooks really hurts this drafts grade. It'll be interesting to see how it progresses over the next 3 years. I've overall really liked Morgan's FA acquisitions, so...
    • Oh he would absolutely flourish. It’s the panthers way. It’s no different with coaches. Sometimes they reach their expiration date, go somewhere else, and find new success.  Similarly to Burns, how long to wait for the light to finally turn on?  Market forces will demand a salary that the panthers can not responsibly match. Sliding him to guard will fit his skill set better, but he has played LT for 3 years. He will receive offers from other teams wanting to pay him LT money.  At guard, he won’t start with what they have paid Hunt and Lewis. Center then?? Dunno. Maybe? He will become a backup by default once they draft their stud LT. I doubt Dan just stands pat. That’s not his MO.  So where does this put him? Can you match what other teams will offer for a backup LT/guard? Do you dish out franchise LT $ on a guy who still needs significant improvement in pass protection. This team will be DOA in the playoffs with the very first team who has a formidable speed rusher. What if he has hit his ceiling in pass protection already and they sign him long term? It’s a big gamble either way.
    • We're in a great position to see just how big of a misstep it would be, having made so many ourselves
