If we pass on DT in rounds 1 and 2 are we destined for failure on defense?

You must agree!!

If you have a valid argument, i'll ignore it and start another thread with basically the same topic!!

I am smart!!

Quote a post where someone made a valid argument that we are fugged if we go CB and DE in the draft and don't add a starter at DT not already on our roster.

They are quick to bash me and try to reconstruct the reality of what I said and then pie and rep each other to death.

I am therefore posing a question and leaving my opinion out of it. This way they have to provide a direct answer to the question which none apparently are willing to do.

he did what was asked him....and was the best LB in football.

he has the skill set where he can do whatever is needed. Upfront in this scheme and pressure means front 7, not front 4.

Front 7 were blitzing is a key to the scheme, and there are better Blitzer on the board that could be had in later rounds.Kendricks, Brown, Shea, and Lewis have all proved that they can be effective Blitzers.

Being reported the Dolphins won't be able to franchise Paul Soliai again.

Now we may not necessarily get a known name like that, but the point is that there are going to be free agency options open too.

Need to remember that last offseason was not the norm.

If we drafted Kuechly with the first pick and a corner with the second pick would our defense be in trouble?? Not at all. Would we still need a DT or DE, hard to say really. I would be more comfortable making sure we were covered in the DT realm but we have needs in several areas and we only have one first round pick and one second. We can't get everything in the draft. Of course getting a few folks in free agency would help as well.
