If we take Luke Kuechly who plays MLB?

The one thing the Giants seem to grasp that Carolina never does is that the defensive line matters.

It matters more than linebackers.

It matters more than cornerbacks.

They draft that way and they have two superbowls for it as that defense is disruptive.

A defense can never have enough good lineman and it's those lineman that keep the o-line off of the linebackers for the running game and put pressure on the QB protecting the

cornerbacks.

Fix that d-line, be it draft or FA and 90% of the Panthers defensive issues will go away.

Simple and Plain.

I see your point but you must remember a guy named LT was a LB

Underthe Rivera defense what would keep him from getting pressure on a qb?How about Von Miller last year?

Von Miller is a 3-4 OLB with 4.4 speed that showed the ability to get after the QB. thats what he does best, it just so happened that he has the athletic ability to play SLB in a 4-3. coaches jobs are to put their players in position to make plays and getting after the QB is what Von does best. Kendricks out of Cal(played some OLB in a 3-4) or Shea out of Boise St(DE and OLB) could be something like that since they have the experience getting after the QB, but could be had in the 2nd round or so.

the Giants and their front office have been BPA guys for a long time....and they praised and used as the current model for why BPA is important.

Lol.

It is true. If you think Poe is going to step on the field and clearly be a better option in 2012 then what we have you are dreaming......or Carolina gets just flat out lucky.

It takes time to develop DTs. they aren't RBs, LBs, etc that can consistently step in and play.

Lol CRA just openly admitted that round has no bearing on a players ability.

Why do we even let people like you post here? Hold on gimme a minute CRA, I'm taking a page out of Fiz's playbook and deciding if should even bother entering this little fantasy land you've concocted.

Kiwanuka and Boley are two....the only othernone I know is Herzlich....whatever string he plays.

Antonio Pierce was on the 07 squad....but let's not forget Foxs scheme here was more comparable than what Rivera wants to do
