I thought this was a debate of whether or not a player is worthy of being drafted in the top 10 to play a 4-3 LB in the NFL? Maybe I'm not comprehending this thread

Von Miller is coming after the QB because that is what he does best. Aldon was DE who is athletic to make the move to OLB in a 3-4. Luke is unknown for blitzing or rushing after the QB because he wasnt asked to do so. if that was a strong part of his game his coaches would have had him blitzing at BC my guess.

LB is one of the easiest positions to fill (and cheapest). Top ten picks should be spent on QB's, LT's, DL and sometimes CB's. Any player not at one of these positions should be a generational talent and I don't think Kuechly fits that definiton.

exactly and when a LB is unknown for blitzing or getting after the QB how is he considered bpa in the top 10. plus it doesnt matter how good a LB is if OL can get to next level and get hands on him.

Von Miller is DAMN good pass rusher thats why he went number 2 overall, it sure as hell wasnt because he racked up tackles. There is a difference dude, as a matter of fact those past 4 LBs you just mentioned 3 have been bust to mediocre (A Curry, Rolando McClain, Keith Rivers) so far in the NFL. Von Miller makes his name off his pass rusher skills even though he is good in other phases as well, but thats what sets him WAY apart from everybody else and warranted his draft position.

Not sure I would compare him to any of those guys...he is better overall than most of them coming out. I also wouldn't compare lots of guys drafted high to anyone else in recent drafts....bc there arent comparable players

Name the last LB that overall was more impressive coming out than Luke then.....that question has nothing to do with if we should draft him.

Patrick Willis was easily worth a top 5 pick. Fact he went 11th doesn't change that reality....and you have to go back further to find a LB who was better overall coming out.

The LBs drafted are just like all other spots.....some work out and others flop. Fact is NFL teams have drafted them high in all recent drafts.....shows teams value it and is simply a fact against what was claimed.
