I'm on the fence about it.

On one hand, letting one game decide a 162 game season is absurd. As you said all it takes is a bad pitch and it's over. I don't like that.

On the other hand, it gives a LOT more incentive to win the division.

plus my Nationals play in the NL East and the additional wild card gives us a MUCH better chance at making the postseason :D
