finnegan is a relentless player who makes up for any physical limitations he has with a fire and competitiveness that only few have. we could also use a vocal leader in the secondary as well. that being said, I don't expect the FO to go after him as he's on of the top CB's available.

Finnegan is looking for a deal more than the five-year, $48.75 million deal cornerback Johnathan Joseph signed with the Texans in July. His agent, Terry Watson, has said he’s looking for a deal that would “make him one of the top-paid cornerbacks in the NFL.”

I would absolutely love this, considering he grew up in my neighborhood and came over to my house frequently when I was little. Before his second season, I happened to find out that he was in the NFL... I couldn't believe it! I've kept an eye on the Titans (and Cortland, of course) ever since. I've always hoped for some sort of a trade or something like this that would bring him to the Panthers. Maybe this is that opportunity?

Why pay him 10 million a season when we can get a kid in the draft for less than half of that if it our first rounder and a quarter of that a year if he in the second round. The reason people draft corners is because they are way overpaiid for what they are worth. After all, only about 1 out of every 5 or 6 plays even comes their way.
