Kind of like those dl ppl, amirite?

What did Fua show you this year that made you really want to keep him.

Serious by the end of the year Kerase, Shirley, Neblett, and Mcclain were way better then him.

Lafell and Gettis atleast Flashed potentnial. I can't say the same for Fua. So I feel it's 2 different situation. I can see Lafell and Gettis developing I can't for Fua.

That's not the mock I would have made. I would have way different posistions overall. But did think it was a good draft. Didn't say we had to draft hill or that I didn't like gettis and lafell. But the dude is 6'4 and fast as hell. U would be crazy not to atleast think about it. And u said earlier that there were no dlineman in this mock. Well according to your most recent post we can't give up on fua and McClain. So your theory dosent pan out. Sometimes your gonna draft someone that u like or who u think is your guy. I'm not ready to give up on anybody. I think everbody deserves their shot to shine but that dosent mean we can look at a reciever just bc we have gettis(coming off acl) lafell an pilares and Edwards.

Lafell and Gettis have flashed some potential Fua and Mcclain (speical Fua) haven't.

like the first 3 picks(well 4 picks), and how is a WR a wasted pick? got some question marks there and any talent brought to this team is not a waste. would love to add DL tho, but not bad.

KKL we understand you dont want a WR.

Plain and simple we need 2 maybe 3 starters out of this draft. Using a top pick on a wr is a waste in my opinion because I don't think any Wr in this draft (maybe Blackmon) will come in and beat out Lafell and a healthy Gettis.

If they don't you have spent a top pick on a player who might not see the field all year.

You're right I don't just want a Wr. Now If we could get a KR/PR wr type guy In later rounds then I'm all for that. But just a guy who will sit behind lafell and Gettis with our top 2 picks I'm totally against.

So you have seen enough of Fua but not Armanti?

Fua was really bad and isn't a starter in anyway so yes on Fua.

I didn't even mention Armanti when talking about our Wr. That should anwser your question.

We were a top 5 offense without any contribution from Armanti and getting Naano before the season. He is not even in the conversation.

I'm good with Smith, Lafell, Gettis, Pilaris, maybe Tutu and a 5th or 6th round a KR/WR/PR type player.

I would like to see Goodson in some pass route (if he's not cut and can get out of Rivera dog house).

Yeah thats exactly what I was trying to get across earlier. U are wiling tO wait 3 years before we even talk about even moving our youngs Wr's or replacing them but by god in a season in Which we brang in 2 dt rookies with no offseason drills and veteran leadership and knowledge from any other DT on the line your ready to get them te hell out. Obviously they struggled. What rookie dosent go through that. I remember see our young Wr's struggle at times... still do.

There is nobody more wanting of a beast defense or us than me. I want to have a stud DT and there just isn't one in here. There's only one person that I frown upon. And that's brockers. I would rather have Any other DT but him. But having said this just bc we need alot of help on defense dosent mean that we just automatically pick 4 defensive lineman this year. If there is a premier talent that could be a possible beast done the road we take him.

I would agree with you that maybe I'm jumping the gun on Fua and Mcclain (I actually like Mcclain) if back-ups and street FA didn't play better then them.

I hope that at this point we are not measuring the work that these two guys Mcclain and Fua are doing in the offseason to get better and improve. I think signing Garay is a must, and that allows us to really use #9 and #40. I would really like a LB and DB with those two picks, or even #2 DBs.

I'd be okay with it as long as we pick up Garay or somebody on the DL. Also not sure about Jackson that high, but ya gotta risk it to get the biscuit. Also wouldn't draft a P.
my thoughts exactly, though i might pick up a punter if we got a couple comp. picks. agreed we need an upgrade at punter but i don't particularly want to use one of our limited draft picks on one if we can find a UDFA that is just as good.

Wouldn't mind this draft, but I still believe we have more needs on the Defense than the offense. As enticing as Hill is, we can pick up an OLB, DE, DT in that second round.
agreed. my preference is that we concentrate more on defense esp. earlier, but i wouldn't bitch and moan if we picked up a very good WR early.

Some more explanations on the different picks (admittedly I was at the point of where I just wanted to post it and go to bed when it was submitted XD):

I would rather see what McClain and Fua do with an actual NFL offseason under their belts to go with their one year of experience. Ron Edwards I think will provide help immediately, and Andre Neblett isn't a bad rotational guy. Jason Shirley was also looking pretty solid as well. I think it would be a grave mistake to get yet another rookie DT and try to plug them in right away. It just doesn't make sense to me, especially with the void at the #2 CB position.

The few posters that might be more familiar with me also have more than likely read how I believe we are set at WR and that other positions should be addressed. However, a 6'4" 215lbs wide receiver that runs a 4.3sec 40yd dash is ridiculous. Couple that with the style of offense that the team has (oh look, we run dat option also sometimes :D) and Cam's occasional high throws would make Hill a welcome addition. It would also allow the team to cut Armanti who, as much as love as I have for him, has done nothing of value. Pilares I'm not particularly sold on either. Smith is getting old and there is no clue about Gettis' injury (if we're going to write off TD after his first tear, Gettis should be put under the scope as well). I do agree with the 2nd pick needing to be a starter as well, but Janzen can start and be picked up in the 4th. Greg Olsen technically fills in as the #3. That's 3... 3 starters!. If Hill comes in and takes over the #2 WR spot, then that is 4... 4 starters!

Acho looks like that he could immediately come in and play as a back-up as he develops. Russell Wilson would also allow us to cut Jimmy, as a lot of this mock draft is geared towards helping the team get below the salary cap as well. I'm no GM (nor a male docking station, despite Luke's fantasies) so take whatever numbers I've crunched with a grain of salt (in Luke's case, there seems to be plenty of sodium in his diet already).

I do not subscribe to made up "rules" for the draft. I think that limiting yourself in order to follow a socially acceptable outline is full retard. Anger has been given a 5th round grade by scouts, and what exactly are we looking to get in the 7th round? Another Captain Munnerlyn? Mackenzy Bernadeau? C.J. Wilson? Robert McClain? Whomever else the #200 ranked player is?

Why NOT spend the pick on a punter, which is a team need, and lock him up as opposed to letting him go compete somewhere else?
