My dream scenario in the first 2 rounds

Let me start off by saying that a bunch of your are gonna say "omgzzz u don't have brockers there".

I don't like brockers. Didn't like him before the combine. And I'm not crazy about the combine. I just don't see the "it" factor with him.

Secondly, I know that I will be called an idiot, moron, and other names just bc I don't have the same style of players or I don't like your player. And for the most part I couldnt care less. Im not trying to persuade u. Just like if u like somebody that I don't like. It just means u see something in him that I don't.

Now on to what I would like to see happen. Now, I don't see a DT that jumps out and that is what we really need. I think hardy will have a breakout year so I see no need for a DE. I would prefer a trade back into the 15-25 range and pick up a extra second rounder. With that first selection I like Dre k. He's physical. He's long. He's fast. He's like a Chris Gamble 2.0. I love his physicality and his press coverage. And he has the size and speed to be able to do so and play catch up if need be. Would be a respectable tackler and good run support as well. Honest to god I'd rather have a DT but I just don't see one that jumps out. Obviously Poe does after the combine but it all comes down to the tape. But alot of people comparing him to Ngata. I'd be fine with that but idk. Whatever hurney and company decide I'm fine with.

Now in the second round. This is gonna cause some flack. I'm staying with defense, but it's in the secondary as well. Sherrod Martin has seemed to struggle midily this past year. Idk If it's due to the new defense that was implemented. Or If it was due to the lack of OTA's. Whatever the reason I think that we should draft Harrison Smith out of ND. I watched some tape of him and a few games and seemed to be very talented. I also watched his workouts in the combine. He had great measurables and his hips were so fluid. Had the ability to use that to swivel in a full sprint to chase down the ball and make the catch. Great tackling. Great size. And we just need some playmakers in the secondary and he and Dre K could be just that.

To the finalle of my dream draft. His stock has really went up since the combine mainly due to his size and 40 time at a 4.36. Yep Stephon Hill. I haven't seen alot and I'm also a victim of falling in love with a workout warrior. But he looked the part. Didn't see alot of him at GT and I admit that he didn't put up the stats in college but there are many players that could be plugged in here that didn't have great college stats and worked out in the pros pretty well. Just the same that there are players that did well in college and didn't in the pros. It can go either way. He's 6'4 and ran a 4.36. U draft big fast guys. And he could be a steal or could be a bust. That's the risk u take.

And this is just my ideal draft. All likely hood is that this won't happen so don't freak out. But it would put are secondary in a better place. And hopefully everybody comes back on D that was injured and our Rooks improve up me the middle and we turn into a top 10 defense. It's too early to write off the young DT's. And plus u get a great prospect in Hill with killer size and speed that could be our #1 in a few short years.

Take it or leave it. Hate it or love it. Either way I don't care. I'm not trying to be smug but I know how some of u guys are.

Have a good day guys and god bless

Its this simple...If either Claiborne or Coples are there at #9 then whoever it is of those two will be the pick. If they aren't then hopefully Hurney has the foresight to have a couple trade downs in the works. If that happens then I'd be fine taking Kirkpatrick, I think he's really talented. I'd also be fine with Poe in the 15-25 range because I think our coaches could work with him with whatever issues he has. But if Coples or Claiborne are there then they have to be the pick they are both starters the day they sign their contract.

Sherrod Martin was a 2nd year player last year?? With zero for LBs playing in front of him and zero pass rush. He's not getting replaced.

I'm with this 100 %. I'm not demanding a trade down. I'd be estatic with Claiborne or coples

Falling to us. That's what I really want. But I'm

Uneasy taking brockers or Poe there. And I agree totally with the statement that Martin had no backers playing in front of him. And plus the defense was in shambles. Alot of chaos. Wasn't saying that he need to be shown the way out but I like Harrison just thought that was a nice pick up and could be a replacement if he shows enough.

I think this would be great. CB, stud FS, freakish yet raw potential #1 WR--Concern about the OL, DL, and LB, but you cannot fix all problems with one draft. You take us from a weak secondary to one of the best and make us SCARY and young at WR.

Your best point: Harrison Smith's hips. That was impressive. I had him at SS until I saw that.

And you are correct, there are some people on here who read other's perspectives and rip everyone who disagrees with their narrow views. That is one of the drawbacks of having affordable computers and a free internet.

I loved his hips. Lol. Then I noticed later that Deion said he couldn't tell if was a cb or safety bc the way he moved and backpedaled. Definitely came away impressed with him.

Kinda makes you feel funny inside talking about a man in tight shorts like that. Oh well. Looking for football playas only.

Yeah trust me. It didn't feel right when I said it.

Another thing if u look at our secondary then. We would probably have the biggest secondary in the league. Gamble and dre k at 6'2. Harrison at a closer height to 6'3 and I think Godfrey is like 5'11. That's alot of length back there.
