Grantland Rookie Report--Biyombo

Here's an article on Grantland that goes into pretty deep detail on some impressive/interesting rookies so far this season. Of course the stars of the show are Irving and Rubio, but there's a section dedicated to his opinions on Biyombo's play so far.

If Bismack Biyombo's chart looks familiar, that's because it's nearly identical to Kanter's, except Biyombo is slightly less effective in each category. Biyombo is at his best when he is putting back offensive rebounds and using his mobility to show against pick-and-roll offense. He struggles, however, with anything related to offense aside from putbacks, and Biyombo's PPP when posting up and rolling to the rim are in the NBA's bottom 10 percent.

Yeah his offensive game consists of just trying to out dribble the defender to one side.

I think once his game is refined, we'll have a guy that looks a lot like Emeka Okafor. Whom we would all remember more fondly if he hadn't been forced to be the "star" of this team.
