he is WAY better at handling the media and such than cam is. my goodness, he is so comfortable. with cam you can always tell he's hesitant to say anything.

Or it could be he knows the media isn't going to crucify him if he says the wrong thing.

In fairness, Cam has some baggage with the media... he's choking back anger half the time he talks to them. He knows the very same media types that are swinging from his d*ck now were calling him a piece of trash a year ago.

I just love how the huddle has grown to hate all good qb talk that isn't about cam.

Think of it like this. Cam is like buying a new car. First everyone was saying don't buy because a new "better" model would be out next year. We ignore them and test drive the car. We find out it's the best car we have ever driven. So we buy it and love the car to death. The people who told you not to buy the car say "Wow, that car is much better than we thought". Then they grudgingly acknowledge that it may be one of the best cars ever.

Now the same people are saying that the next year model that doesn't have the same horsepower, torque, and looks is going to be better. Plus they haven't even drove it yet. :p

He is going to be good. I think that the majority of the real talent in the league comes from running offenses resembling some form of the spread. RB's are no longer premiums really and utility guys who can create space and then perform in it are no longer strictly situational.

Big money is spent on shut down corners, safeties that can come up and make an open field tackle in the run game, run stuffing interior Dline, pursuit freaks at the DE and LB's sho can drop into coverage.

The equalizer is the dual or triple threat QB in tandem with one or two big and fast WR's.

I wonder what the over under is on how many times Cam Newton's name has been or will be mentioned in war rooms this winter and spring in reference to RG3. The game is changing and the Panthers are going to be viewed as ahead of the curve in spite of some of the things we lack because of #1 and #1 alone.

Just my opinion anyway.

Yeah, it's not like the media hasn't tried to make three different controversies, during the season and putting words in Cam mouth.

Maybe that's because Cam gets criticize for every damn thing he says and does just like LeBron. RG III now gets to reap the benefits of these media folks already having their whopping boy. Plus I'm sure they are afraid of RG because he's a damn smart and many of them in the media aren't.

Also, Cam does have a slight speech impediment. He studders, so it's seems he tries to choose his words carefully.

Edit to add: Funny how the media painted Cam as stupid and went out of their way to prove it. Now that RG III has shown up with his high GPA, they are going out of their way to see how intelligent he really is. I've never seen Steve do to any of last year's rookie QB what he did to RG III last night. He called out a play on the board. He then proceeded to erase the board while having a conversation with him. He then challenged him to rewrite everything he wrote. Interesting.

I'm glad, not only did RG III rewrite everything, but added onto it...Made me smile.

I like RG3, and I look forward to watching him play in the league as well. You know, we have our team (the Panthers) and our players, whom we always pull for first, but then there are always those guys you find a reason to cheer for wherever they go (Ladainian Tomlinson comes to mind for me)... RG3 is one of those guys.

And I can't wait for him to make the Colts and Andrew Luck look like pure sh*t this season.

Wel, it's kind of sad to see how quickly some on this site are always reaching for the most media hyped QB at every turn while it seems those QBs are always being compared to their own.

I bet you go to other fansites and they won't have two or three threads dedicated to some other QB being better than their own.
