If we want a NT- look no further than Dontari Poe

As far as the argument for or against Brockers or Poe, all we can say at this point is Poe helped himself this week and Brockers did not. The combine is just one piece of the puzzle.

And don't sleep on Fletcher Cox...he's had a good week as well and he has produced on the field.

If Poe is bigger, stronger, faster, and more experienced, what is Brockers?

I dunno, you make it seem as if Hurney is looking at Mel Kiper's big board to determine quality.

a better DT?

There are lots of DTs who can run faster and bench more that aren't as good as others on a field. For example, Poe did not play better at his position in 2011 than Brockers.

I am saying Hurney nor other GMs go gaga over combine workouts. Poe isn't going to rocket up and now be the best DT to those guys b/c he physically does well in those tests....they care more about how he plays DT. Same reason Cam kept climbing up Carolina's board despite a poor combine performane....Hurney and company cared about how he played QB.

i hate that they use bench reps as a critical statistic at the combine. sorry but you play football standing up, not lying on a bench.

dunno why they don't use a sled drill, even highschool coaches know how much more telling that and squats/deads are.

however if hes running that well at 350 im sure hes got plenty of lower body strength and is in general very athletic. i doubt hes one of those "run plugger" type DTs (you know, the ones who are fat and immovable but provide zero play disruption, see: Maake Kemoeatu).

700 pound squat when he was younger and still developing in college.

1.68 10 yard split btw.

Why the hell did I never even see one game with this guy in college? I have no idea what he looks like in a game, but good lord he's combine beast.

Cox looked really good too, and I've actually seen him play, he's got a great motor.

There are a couple of good DL/DE not getting any conversation. Fletcher Cox, Nick Perry, Chandler Jones, Kendall Reyes.

Hell, Perry probably just elevated himself top 15 with an outside chance of being the first DE taken.
