so Poe is better than Brockers in every way imaginable? noted.
both are projects.

anyone following poe shouldn't be surprised at how he's doing at the combine. dude's a workout warrior.

unfortunately with both of these guys we won't see the things what will impress the coaches which is how they do or don't do in interviews and on the board or in private workouts and meetings.

i'd be happy with either these guys or fletcher cox.

Poe's weakest showing was the vert, which was probably to be expected as he weighs fourteen thousand pounds and has shorter arms.

He beat Brockers with his massive wingspan by three inches - 29.5 to 26.5.

They tied at the broad jump - 105.

I'm not sure if Brockers is bombing the combine or Poe is just killing it or a mix of both. It's impressive, either way.

He may project more a 3 technique than a 1 technique until he learns better leverage skills so you could plug him in right away. His strength is penetration in a 1 gap system. The knock is that even at his size and strength he needs work on taking on double teams. Remember he is a junior. I would give him reps at 3 technique and start Ron Edwards. In a year or two would move him inside as Edwards gets too old.

Warren Sapp loves him and say all he needs is work on technique.

Thanks for the clarification, my knowledge on DT,UT,NT isn't the greatest.

Brockers hasnt bombed the combine but hid forty didnt help. He did how ever just fall out of the top 10. His 84 inch wing span was impressive.

pretty sure 40 times don't make or break the draft stock for DTs. Good techinique and a strong first step poo all over someone with a good 40. Let's not forget we are talking about DTs.....how they run the 40 without pads isn't that huge.

i think I like Poe more than Brockers. Yea Brockers has tons of potential. But he's a project and if doesnt pan out, he'll get pushed around and be a waste. At the worst, Poe will eat up blockers and free up Beason.

well, Brockers did more commanding the double team than Poe in college. That is what scouts have mentioned as one of Poe's areas to work on...and Brockers did it in the SEC.

Also that article saying he put on weight so that he will stop getting pushed around kind of concerned me. That means he was relying on his weight too much in college in order to be successful. That doesn't work in the Pros when you're barely over 300.

I take it back, I would take him at 9 hands down. He just ran an unofficial 4.87 in the 40. 350 lbs and he just ran a sub 5 second 40?? Seriously????

At this point he may be gone by number 9. Ridiculous.......

Have you ever seen him play?

If everyone is going to fall in love just reading about him then don't skip the parts that say he's not very good at leverage and gets blown off the ball despite his size and strength.
