Excel Help

Morning all!

I am having problems graphing data for my Environmental Biology class. I have all of the data together, I just can't figure out how to graph it. I was under the assumption that all you had to do was select the data, click insert, and then choose the type of graph I want.

Try a better software. I think there are free (or at the very least, reduced cost for academic use) packages that are better and in some cases more intuitive...SPSS, Minitab (this one is most like Excel to me), SAS, & Matlab (OK, these last two aren't intuitive).

Unless SAS has changed a LOT it's like greek. :lol:

I've never had much success getting graphs out of Excel either, and I don't know much about stats... someone on here does though.

graphs and charts were always a big headache for me when doing lab reports in school. i did quite a few in ACAD just for that reason.

If I had to guess, I think you're supposed to be doing a line chart when in fact you want to do a scatter (XY) plot.

I am supposed to use the scatter chart and draw the line that the dots create. I have worked on it for about 6 hours and still can not figure it out.
