Forget Janoris Jenkins

The only news here is that he has 4 kids. Everyone knew he smoked weed while at Florida. So when he admitted to having a "drug" problem it was just weed. Everyone knew about the bar fight in Florida as well, no big news there. The 4 kids thing is the only thing that is groundbreaking. He's also 23 years old so its not like he started in middle school. He is also at an age where maturity to starts to kick in. He was humbled last year by going to N. Alabama after being a big shot at Florida. In case your wondering the suspension at N. Alabama had nothing to do with smoking weed, he evidently flagged and ejected but throwing this punch. I read 3 articles about that game and not one mentioned him doing anything crazy or even throwing a punch, just that he was flagged and ejected but never said why. Must not have been that big of a deal.

I liked him before the kids news broke and I see no reason to start disliking him because of that. Should be good motivation for him.

Unlike Kirkpatrick, Jenkins manned up for his mistakes and didn't try to deflect blame. Nor has he had any issues with weed in over a year.

I am starting to warm up to the idea of taking Poe. We should see these guys in just a bit when the fun starts in Indy.

I still think the Panthers will draft pass rusher. Poe is a massive run stopper not so much of pass rusher. Ingram might be the pick. Ingram can play LB, DT, and DE. We had an issue stopping teams on 3rd and long. Our front 4 generated 0% pressure. Look what Giants doing on 3rd and long. They place 4 DEs on DL and collapse packet within 3 seconds. Our CBs will only be as good as our pass rush.

Unless Dre K blows the coaches away, DL in the 1st, CB in the 2nd.

Or a miracle scenario where Claiborne drops. Still a possibility if a team above us really wants to make a move up to the Rams spot and want RG3 bad enough.

Washington trades with Rams...get RG3.

3. Minny might go with Kalil instead of Claiborne

Still would have to think he'd go with Tampa at that point, but what if Tampa passes on Claiborne even with the LSU DB coach going there. Red flags?

Anything can happen on draft day, but this one will be pretty interesting I think.

No DL prospect worth the #9 overall pick. Dre Kirkpatrick is a better option at #9 with the ability to play corner or safety. Really interested to see what he runs. I've seen other places where people believe he's better than Mo.

I do think he has the ability to play both FS and CB but I don't view that necessarily as a good thing. The way I see it is that he is a CB with good size and good run support but he is viewed as a FS because he lacks true man-to-man coverage skills necessary for a CB at the 9th pick.

Played mostly man coverage at Alabama and was the biggest hitter... I think hes a prospect who comes in and starts from day 1. I think they FS skills help when we run zone stuff also. He'll be fine at the next level, and from what I am seeing from DL prospects at the combine, no thanks at #9.

Just because he played man doesn't mean he translates into a good cover man. He wasn't that great in coverage. He was real good in run support and tackling. That's why he might translate into a better FS and zone coverage. His value is based a lot off potential and what he can turn into.

But I agree, these DL aren't separating themselves at the 9 position.
