Stephen Hill in 2nd round plz

Hill is not a first rounder or even a high second rounder. He had a great combine but was not great for GT. In the bowl game he had 2 catches for 35 yards. If he were that great they would have gotten him the ball more often. You could get streeter who has the same size and speed in the 6th round and have just as much potential. For that matter we got him in 2010 when we drafted Gettis. Lets get someone who brings something unique to the receiver spot. Someone like Devon Wiley who is quick, fast, has good hands, and is a legitimate returner who ran 2 back for TDs this year. We need a returner instead of trying to make a guy one like Edwards and Pilares.

Yea, I don't think Hill is that good. He was projected as 4th-5th rounder and now 1st? I don't mind taking him in 2nd but 1st round is a reach. Wiley is wes welker #2 but the reason we looking for a big guy is because Smitty is not a burner anymore. We need someone like Hill so we can move Smitty into slot permanently. We need someone to stretch the field with size and speed so our RBs and TEs have more room to run.

Him getting the ball is just not there offense that much, even with a guy like Hill.Bay Bay was also considered the same way, but had a nice combine.QB play also plays a part.his skills does translate to the next level and he might be the 3rd WR off the board. I like Streeter just as much as Hill and thinks he will be gone way before the 6th round. And if you basing off numbers than you don't like Wiley either because he didn't produce in a friendlier offense.

We have that guy in David Gettis assuming he comes bback healthy and all signs are that he will. Gettis 6'3" and 217 lbs and his best 40 2 years ago was 4.36. Averaging his high and low from the combine was a 4.43. Why waste a second rounder on a guy we already have on the roster and got in the 6th.

What I like about Wiley is that he is legitimate punt returner with sub 4.4 speed who ran 2 back in 2011. He had plus 30 yard punt returns in 4 consecutive games and averaged 16 yards a retun this year which was 10th in the country. He is a decent wide receiver who will need to develop but could contribute right away on special teams. Best of all he could be had in the 6th or 7th round making him a much better value pick. Production now and potential down the road for cheap. He reminds of another guy who was 5'9 and around 185 when he came into the league 11 years ago.

I think you might be right about Streeter. Some drafts haaving him going as high as the 3rd round. Neither he nor Hill bring more to the table than Gettis who is already signed and under contract. They would be luxuries when we have much bigger needs.

Rivera was not impressed with Gettis for some reason. That's why they tried to sign #2 WR before season started last year.

he does bring the ability to return punts but he has dropped a lot of balls during the east-west game, and the almighty Mayock  got on him for dropping balls in the drills. Hill has major upside which will push him up in the draft as well as Streeter plus look at the past WRs taken from those schools. i would not object to either in the 2nd round.

I agree with 55 (i'm not a drafting WR guy) but if we do hopefully around the 5th thru 7th rounds. I want a guy who is a PR/KR type guy. Not just a wr.
