QB is obviously not a position we are in need of. While WR may not be a huge need right now, it is still a position we need to address in the near future. There are PLENTY of DT, DE, CB, and OLB threads going around. And I'm sure tomorrow when some of them are doing there workouts, there will be more.

Not really just because you want a wr so bad doesn't mean it's a bigger need then a back-up QB.

DA a FA. Jimmy could be a Cap cut. Cam needs a back-up.

What about TE threads they ran yesterday?

My ? is if we draft a wr and he doesn't catch 60-70 passes by year 2 will we be having this same debate in 2014.

Probably. But that's what you get on the here. Full panic mode at every position. Not saying I agree with that mentality, but that's what happens on here.

I'm just saying, there are plenty of threads for other positions. WRs are doing workouts today so people are going to be talking about a guy that is 6'4" and running a 4.3 flat over getting a backup QB.

Dude I'm just finding it funny it's like the TE thing every year after Walls left.

I love Hill. Dude is phenomenal. Great blocker, obviously, due to playing in the triple option. Has character, proven by the fact that he stayed at GT even with the triple option being there. He KNEW he'd primarily be a blocker and he'd get a few deep balls a game and accepted it.

His drops, mostly, came from weird balls (GT's QB didn't throw a very pretty ball) or from, I think, just being so open that it almost distracted him. He almost looked like he'd realize, when the ball was in the air, "oh poo, I'm 20 yards open. This is a TD," and then he'd drop it. However, put a CB within 50 yards of him....Hill WILL make the catch.

As far as guys we can DEFINITELY get...and for somebody who could take Smitty's place eventually....Hill is that guy.

Hill is not a first rounder or even a high second rounder. He had a great combine but was not great for GT. In the bowl game he had 2 catches for 35 yards. If he were that great they would have gotten him the ball more often. You could get streeter who has the same size and speed in the 6th round and have just as much potential. For that matter we got him in 2010 when we drafted Gettis. Lets get someone who brings something unique to the receiver spot. Someone like Devon Wiley who is quick, fast, has good hands, and is a legitimate returner who ran 2 back for TDs this year. We need a returner instead of trying to make a guy one like Edwards and Pilares.
