Judge from what Rivera said,we will draft DE with our first pick

Rivera said. "It's not just at defensive back. You have to have a pass rush. You've got to be able to put pressure on the quarterback. It's a combination of both of those.

You do realize that one of the most valuable weapons in the NFL for pass defense is a dominating DT that can collapse the pocket from the interior, right?

If we can get a push up the interior, QB's will not be able to step up in the pocket, then that will take pressure off of Hardy and CJ, But I'm still not sold on Brockers being that guy, but i wouldn't be mad if they got him, I wish Hogan played more games, so we could judge where we need to go with that position.

The player we take at #9 has to be able to start. Who, at #9 can we say that about?

Which means any one of a handful of Defensive positions are possible draft possibilities. I say defensive, because I do not see any rookie starting in our offense.

DT next to Edwards has a lot of depth, but no real talent. So that is a possible. Finding a starter here would be goodly. This is a win

DE would have to beat out Hardy. That would be a win-win.

Will LB would pretty much have a cake-walk, depending on the Davis situation. Could be a win-win.

#2CB would have a decent shot at a starting spot. This would we a win-win number two on our poll.

FS would have a free pass to starterland. An impact FS would be my pick for win-win derby.

So that leaves 5 positions of possible (Depending on your point of view.) need. So I guess what I am saying is, that I would be shocked, dumbfounded, ferpluxed if you will, if we did not draft one of these five positions in the first round.

Whomever we pick first must have the ability to start. I would throw in the second round as well. Both these happen we are immediately competitive.

I'm sorry. Sometimes my giddy gets in the way. And GOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was more positive about Brokers myself. I hate having that feeling for a #9 pick.

A beast DT would be an answered prayer. I just do not see that happening this year.

Agree with level of knowlegde about Hogan. I will say this though, I wish he were 3 inches bigger. (Heigth and weight wise) He is supposed to possess all the tools. Wish I had an inkling of what to expect. I guess I'm excited for the potential and find it hard to wait for the results.

Too many questions for one fan to handle. And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe we should wait til next year to draft a pass rusher DE.

i've been seeing quite a few discussions about that class compared to this one.

most recently this evening...

Mike Loyko ‏ @NEPD_Loyko People have been complaining about pass rushers this year and are correct..but just wait until next year and they year after LOADED

Next year u could have.. Okafor, Montgomery, Taylor, Mingo, Lemonier, Jeffcoat, Jarvis Jones, Gholston, Powell, Werner, Jenkins..loaded

then in 2014 you have the best pass rusher since at least Julius Peppers to enter the draft in Jadeveon Clowney
