He said he would give Atlanta a 'home town' discount and play for $10M per.

It's obvious, he's just posturing, knowing he's gonna be a FA. From what I'm hearing Atlanta is ready to move on, considering John's age and his ability to disappear in big games, I think it's the correct approach.

Abe signs a 3 year $21M contract extension with the Falcons. I think Atlanta overpaid by a couple of million, but they really had little choice. He has zero chance of seeing the final year of that contract, IMO.
