Martin had a good rookie year and a horrible sophomore year and we should just drop him.

On the other hand, Landry was a bust for years on end, has one good season, bulks up and now we should give up whatever to get him.

Martin was great stepping in as a rookie. To say otherwise is just dumb.

Godfrey also sucked that year.

I didnt bash Godfrey this year.....bc for the first year he didn't suck. He still wasn't good though. Better than Martin.

Hahaha...Compared to DeAngelo Hall in tackling ability? Do not want....He can't win on the field by breaking out into a pose-down..plus he decided to avoid a medical procedure against the advice of doctors...why would that be a good thing?

Smith was a 3rd round pick out of Oklahoma 4 years ago. According to 49ers fans, Smith was a ball hawk during training camp and had the upper hand on the starting FS position over Dashon Goldston before Smith ended up getting hurt and Goldston ended up balling all year, Smith ended up being the backup

Smith is still young at age 25, can still grow with our young team.

Here is some highlights of him. He was a CB/S at Oklahoma and coverted to S full time in the NFL.

Im confident he would beat out Sherrod Martin, he would come cheap, he is still young and able to improve, he is a ball hawk who can also tackle. I would love to get this guy and give him a shot to start for us.
