John Abraham = Al Wallace can we make it happen?

Watch us sign him and then he gets injured in training camp like all our other defensive players do.

Well it could happen with his injury riddled past but if a good deal it struck reward could outweigh risk. Johnson on one side with him and Hardy on the other would be formidable.

Al Wallace was a solid rotation guy who was not paid a ton.

Abraham would demand way too much money. And I believe that he will stay in Atlanta if he were willing to take a smaller contract.

No way you get him here for a great deal.

If he wants to much money then fug him. But if he can be had for 2-3 years at 2.5-3.5 mil a year I'd jump all over that.

I don't see how Wallace and Abraham are similar. Wallace was in his 5th year when he came to the Panthers, had never started a game, and hadn't played much in his previous 4 seasons. Abraham has played extensively for 12 seasons and is quite well known.

Regardless, I would be happy with him for what little this team could afford to pay him. The ideal situation would be to find another player more similar to Wallace.....younger, cheaper

He is also 34 years old and hasn't made it thru a full season in the last 3 years without missing some games.

He is nothing but a situational pass rusher now. That all we need from him. To be a back -up for Hardy and CJ and play most passing downs.

He'd probably only see the field in half the games on third down, but he's still worth picking up because he'd not only bring a good pass-rusher but it would keep him from signing with the Saints (another place I think he could go) and he might bring a few secrets about the Atlanta defense.

This guy is insane, he wants 12 million a year, no way. Some desperate team may pay him but not us.

I loved the part where he said "If I was playing terrible ... no question, five million,” Abraham said. “I’m not a money chaser, but at the same time I’m expecting to get paid like everybody else is getting paid..."

Hahahaha....if he was playing terrible then he would be OK with 5 million a year...hahaha...this guy is clearly insane, no doubt.
