Falcons won't overpay to keep Lofton, Abraham

Would you all be in favor of picking up Lofton if we let Connor go?

Seems like a lateral move, but would be a slight upgrade... And regardless, I don't want Connor back.

Why would we pay 7-8 mil a year for a two down MLB while having a all pro MLB on the team?

I skipped the 8 mil part, my bad.

I meant in the same role as Connor to backup Beason. At 8 mil, no. I meant if the money is relatively equal.

Then again, I think we're going to see quite a bit more 3-4 this coming season, and as we saw this year, you can never have enough good LBs, lol.

The Falcons would do well to protect Matt Ryan, getting a LT is critical to their success. Avril and Williams wouldn't come cheap, and Grimes will cost an arm and leg to keep. Avril is a pass rushing machine, but only because he had Suh, Williams/Fairley, and Vanden Bosch on the line with him. Falcons would need gap penetrating DT's to have the same results. If they could scrounge up the money, Mario Williams would be the better investment.
