Panthers surprise Cuts and Restructures?

It's so frustrating that they already have to worry about Stewart's contract situation so soon after throwing that kind of money at Williams. They could have grabbed a young back and about now they could have extended Stewart. Nothing about it makes sense.

Great thread. I see Smith restructuring now that he is happy. Davis will be cut and resigned . Mare, Baker, Clausen, Martin, Naane, Conner, and Edwards might be gone.

Surprise cuts could be Wharton or possibly Hardy if we get a high DE pick. They will keep Otah for insurance, if he is in shape and healthy.

Also just think about how much money we have tied up in the RB position. I love both Stewart and Deangelo, but Stewart is absolutely the better every down RB. Deangelo is a great RB though in his own right, and is a homerun threat every time he touches the ball, but he constantly gets stopped at the line. I dont know if there is a way to pay both these guys and keep the defense competitive.

I have gone down this road. It is a dead end.

I won't miss him if we do release him,but all these reports are stemming from Joe person's

article this morning and at this point is just speculation. So nothing factual or inside scoop to suggest it will happen yet.

if you think that fauxjohnmadden was trying to be factual or scoop anyone you must not be following him. the name gives it away. its about as credible as the onion.

I think AE will be cut. Possibly Otah and Davis.

Otah actually has trade value despite his injury. No way Carolina would just cut one of the most talented RTs to be picked up......plus the move doesn't appear to give much relief.
