Atleast Nightmare on Elm Street was somewhat true to the original. Sure a charismatic Freddy was definitely missing, but this was nowhere near as putrid as Zombie's H2.

Agree with BB. Zombie's is better than I thought it would be.

But the remake Halloween is a victim of the times...there has to be a reason why people act they way they do.

BTW I didn't finish Halloween II, at least he stuck to the original story for the most part in the first. But part two is just some adaptation of one of his sh*tty scripts.

I actually thought Halloween 3: Season of the Witch (the one that inexplicably didn't have Michael Myers) was pretty underrated.

Most of the original's sequels were pretty bad, especially 2 and 6. The one with Busta Rhymes was like there was a random horror movie written, then it added Michael Myers as an afterthought so people would go see it.

100% agree. I didn't like Zombie's Halloween 1, but 2 had no redeeming qualities. I liked the casting of Jacke Earle Haley as Freddy since Robert Englund wasn't going to participate, and I think his performance was fine it was more of the script that was bad.
