Could Brockers overtake Claiborne as the top D prospect in the draft?

how many people are you having this conversation with?

i'm only counting one.

There are alot of Brockers fans on this board. I like Brockers too but I do not think he is ranked ahead Mo on anyone's big board.

there is no "you guys" in that discussion. it's just one.

I think Hurney would actually trade up to make sure he got BROCKERS. I hate to keep saying this but, we haven't had a good d line since Kris Jenkins left.

If we plug that hole for years to come we can become a top tier defense. We can draft CBs all we want but a dominant defense is anchored by the line not the other way around.

Claiborne is as good a defensive prospect as we've seen in the last few years. Size, speed, technique, experience...he's got everything a front office wants. Brockers has great physical tools as well, but Claiborne has the experience and production. Not a chance that Brockers overtakes him, and I like Brockers a lot for the Panthers.

we really haven't had a good line since Buckner departed

between 2 years on IR and binge drinking when Jenkins returned in 2006 he was half as good as he was prior to his injuries

Point them out.

Edit: And by point them out, I mean the teams I didn't already address.

Tampa is hurting for a CB. Minny might be a stop too, Claiborne in that secondary would be over kill. They need it because they see Rodgers twice a year, not to mention Detriot and Chicago.

If it came down to those two and Claiborne fell and we were next to pick, they better pick that CB over the DT. Seriously. Ron is coming back, Fua and McClain have experience as well. You can also add Beason to that run stopping formula.

The secondary is...ugh. You know this CG.

Listen, I'm just saying that there's no way Brockers is higher on the teams I listed's big boards than Claiborne. You guys are getting too hyped on this guys potential. Experienced, proven, highly talented corner back > Hyped up draft riser, with good size to add more muscle, and a high ceiling.

I wondered when you would finally come out and admit this and instea of trying to carry the charade of objectivity.

The bottom line is that you're wrong. It isn't "hype." it's a player who superior talent rising to the top of teams draft boards. Your opinion that he isn't worth it is irrelevant, when anyone who matters feels differently.

Sorry, but it's truth. You're forgetting the context surrounding Brockers in this scenario always.
