LOL finally we have a person on our team that has commericals outside of nc/sc (bojangles) or the CPI one!!...Great times for be a panther fan!

Yeah yeah, that's all well and good, but I won't totally respect Cam until he's in a Bojangles commercial!

Mmmm, delicious Bojangles!

Rata-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat. Psssssssssssshhhhhhhh! CAM!

And, right on cue, the camera shows Newton as he cuts, spins and leaps into the end zone.

Afterward he stands, tall and proud, and, as the music stops, Newton screams to the heavens as he rips open his Superman pose.

Then he looks straight into the camera, through it really (the kid's got chops after all), and with emotion and rage pent up for more than a year the QB half smiles and half growls -- WHAT?!!? -- questioning us, challenging us, daring us to say something about him now.

What are you looking at? Newton seems to be asking.

What are we looking at?

The next great pitchman in sports, that's what.

:cam:

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
