yeah if we could pull off and get their second i would like to get Janoris Jenkins, Vinny Curry and Lavonte David.. would be very nice. get a starting caliber LB, great corner and great pass rusher.. then in the 4th broyles would be a good addition to our wr core and a nice return man. like gideon as well

Edited: changed the trade to a 2nd rounder from Cincy, and we grab Lavonte David with that pick.

DE- Charles Johnson/Vinny Curry/Thomas Keiser

DT- Antonio Garay/Terrell Mcclain

DT- Ron Edwards/Sione Fua

DE- Greg Hardy/Antawan Applewhite

LB- Thomas Davis/Lavonte David

LB- Jon Beason/Thomas Williams

LB- James Anderson/Jordan Senn

CB-Chris Gamble/Brandon Hogan

CB- Janoris Jenkins/Captain Munnerlyn

FS- Sherrod Martin/Blake Gideon

SS- Charles Godfrey/Jordan Pugh

Pretty solid line up with depth. We will probably pick up a S in FA too.

QB: Cam Newton/Derek Anderson/Pickles

RB: DeAngelo Williams/Jonathan Stewart/Mike Goodson

FB: Richie Brockel

WR1: Steve Smith/Brandon Lafell/Ryan Broyles/Armanti Edwards

WR2: David Gettis/Legedu NaaNee/Kealoha Pilares

TE: Greg Olsen/Jeremy Shockey/Gary Barnidge

LT: Jordan Gross/Alex Hurst/Lee Ziemba

LG: Travelle Warton/Mackenzy Bernadeau

C: Ryan Kalil

RG: Geoff Schwartz/Geoff Hangertner

RT: Jeff Otah/Byron Bell

P: Shaun Powell

K: Olindo Mare

LS: J.J. Jansen

Solid 53 man roster.

how much money do you think you just spent in FA?

doubt we can land the big DT unless we do not resign all the guys listed.

Also, not a fan of L David. Just think he is a bit smallish to play other than special teams

All of the guys we need to resign shouldn't cost us too much. And I don't think Garay will come with a huge price tag either.

And L Davis isn't THAT small? He will be a rookie, plenty of time to add some muscle. He is 6' 1" 225 pounds. He is not far from the guys we have now. (Applewhite 6' 3" 258 pounds, Anderson 6' 3" 235 pounds, and TD 6' 240 pounds).

About Lavonte David. He is a SS/WLB tweener, which is good because he should be able to cover Gonzalez and Graham. They are eating us up every year because we try to put a S or a LB on them, and we cannot cover. His size could be an asset, not a weakness. I am interested to see how he does in the agility drills at the combine.

    • Getting any level of competition and cohesion out of this roster is a job well done.
    • Not sure if anyone else is watching this D1-AA championship game but I don't know if these receivers have NFL athleticism but they got HANDS. These boys can flat out CATCH. This is a good football game.
    • People on here are wrong all the time. I mean some of our best draft picks people didn't like initially due to various reasons. On the other hand there have been a multitude of decisions made by people who are paid very well to know what they're doing that some Panthers fans here saw as a mistake a mile away. Well look man let's put all the chips on the table. Because your grievance is particularly about the QB position. The Panthers have had only two long term starting franchise QB's in 30 years. Thirty years. Two. This fanbase has seen a hell of a lot of poor to mediocre QB play and even short lived fairy tales like the Kyle Allen win streak or going back even further Matt Moore. As far as Darnold and Mayfield goes I think they are certainly overachieving but I don't think anyone here that was critical of either of them were wrong. They both had a heaping portion of humble pie here that has served them greatly now. Mayfield in particular because when he first got here he was still a cocky idiot. Darnold at least kept his head down and did his job for the most part. But I have a hard time seeing either of them going far in the playoffs because in the midst of some of their best games I've seen the same flawed QB's. Darnold is no Nick Foles let's be real with one another here. Baker specifically looked like hot garbage against our defense in Charlotte recently. And those best teams in the playoffs have all that on film and damn well know about it too if average fans like us can see it.
