If Davis is back on the field at all, it would be an accomplishment. He said he looks at the reader comments posted below online stories about his recovery, and is amazed how few people believe he can come back.

"Trust me, I feed off of that," Davis said. "Don't write me off until you see what I can do. That's my mentality and that's how I'm taking it. I'm not listening to anybody, what they're saying on the outside. I'm coming in each and every day, putting the work in, getting the job done that I need to get done and I'm moving forward."

Neither Davis nor Panthers general manager Marty Hurney would talk specifically about the contract situation.

"I'm pretty confident that something will get worked out," Davis said in an interview last week. "It's something that's not crossing my mind right now. I hired an agent to do a job and he's going to get it done. And Marty's going to do his job, and they'll get that figured out."

Beason, who tore his left Achilles in Week 1 at Arizona, has no contract un

Only way he comes back is a major restructuring... it's a possibility if Davis wants to prove he can do it badly enough, but we'll have to see.

Don't think you really need major reconstuction as far as money wise.. just change it around to easily made incentives about play time. If he can't perform he doesn't play, doesn't hit incentives and we don't take the cap hit. He plays, team happy, were happy, he's happy, happy all around.

I love it. Everybody has written davis off.

He'll be cheap, and it won't hurt the team any to have him on the roster. I certainly won't count him out. He is a warrior. I hope he does come back...would love to see him knocking heads again.

May noot happen...but having him on the roster going into camp isn't far fetched. If the panthers want to cut him...he'd likely be gone already.

We'll see..

Only bad things happen if you let davis go and only good things if you keep him on the cheap. I dont think the knee will hold up, but someone is going to take one last shot with him. What if the knee is good to go and its not us? Personally I think he should retire. I dont want to see my man in a wheelchair. Thats not happening so if hes going to try to play it needs to be here.

Who are we to say what this guy can do? If he says he is going to make a full recovery, I will root for him like crazy. He is exactly the kind of guy that we want to represent the panthers, both on and off the field. He's a fighter, and I thinking its both morally wrong and a dumb idea not to give a fighter a chance to come back and prove everyone wrong. He had probably the best doctor in the country do his surgery. He has the heart of a champ, so you know he will do all the rehab necessary. While all these injuries have been devastating for him, I cant see him not making it through it.

I agree there is no reason not to believe in him. It's not like anyone's faith or lack their of is going to actually affect what happens to TD. On the huddle though it's all about, "see I was right he got hurt again dur dur". Yeah no one cares, at least some of us believe he can do it. Doesn't hurt to be a fan.

Yeah but he weakened his other knee to make it so and that scares me. Also i think the a lot of us our concerned with the teams and more importantly his future, not so we can say derrr i told you so. I dont want the man to struggle to ever walk again. Its not worth all that.
