Fox talks about Jerry Richardson

Coach John Fox reacted to the news after Thursday's practice that Panthers owner Jerry Richardson has been put on a heart-transplant list.

"We've been familiar that he's not been feeling well. It's good news they know what's wrong. Now he can just get healthy and we're confident he will."

On how fortunate he feels to have Richardson as the Panthers' owner: "I'm blessed to be here. This business is hard. He played the game and understands football. I have the utmost respect for him and what he's done, the work ethic he has and the class he has."

On why it's important that Richardson was once an NFL player: "He's been in the trenches. He's been in those rooms. He understands how hard it is."

On Richardson's style as an owner: "One of the big things when I interviewed was communication. That's a big part of any business and this is a business. There's a football side and a business side and he's been a good blend of those things. He gets it."

I think it goes without saying the entire Panther nation/family is hoping that he gets the heart and can get better soon.

We are indeed fortunate to have the BEST owner in the league.

I'm definitely thankful to him for bringing the Panthers to us. My life wouldn't be the same without them.

Another prayer vigil for Mr. Richardson!!!
