Uploading copyrighted DVD on my computer

Anyone know how to get around this stupid copyrighted DVD crap? I just want to put a few DVDs on my computer for my own pleasures. I am not trying to put them on the web or anything. Is there a program that will let me bypass or over right it? I want to be able to edit the files. I have a video editor and it will not even let me upload the movies to it. It tells me it cant because they are copyrighted.

You can probably just find the torrent to download the movie somewhere on the 'net...

Being that you legally own a tangible copy, I doubt you'd ever get in trouble for downloading...

lol...The legality of it was never the issue. I use torrent files all the time, but there is always something wrong, like no subtitles when people are speaking other languages or Russian subtitles all through it. I just want to put my movies on the computer so I can use the movie editor to make my own videos with them.

Even puts it in .mp4 or .m4v filetype for your iWhatever.
