Here is my wish list draft before the combine. I'm hoping we trade down and get more picks but if that doesn't happen here's my list.

1. Micheal Brockers DT Lsu

2. Stephon Gilmore Cb USC

we have no 3rd round

4. Keenan Robinson OLB UT

5. Chris Rainey Wr/KR/PR/RB UF

6. Russell Wilson QB Wisconsin

7. Korey Williams ILB Southern Miss

I rather get one as a UFA after the draft and not use a pick for 1.

I'd rather spend a throw away pick on the top 1 or 2 P or K than spend nothing on the #3, 4 or 5. Only a couple each year turn into solid pros anyway, I'd want to get one of the guys that'll be a long term NFL player :) Punters and kickers are by FAR the most undervalued positions for their impact on the game, having great guys at those spots often has a huge impact on a team's success.

to many K and P go undrafted to waste a pick on one in my opinion. you can pick up a good one as an udfa.

I agree that we need more picks to address our needs. I mean, TD is a long shot, and with this (no free agency included) it is likely a 4th round OLB is starting. I like Robinson, however. Gilmore was very inconsistent, and I am a gamecock fan. He does, however, fit our system and RR's requirement for a physical presence. Is he better than Hogan? I would say no, but that is a guess.

I love the fifth rounder. I think Russell Wilson will be an Undrafted free agent--5'11" and he fits few systems. I would LOVE to see us start recruiting him now for that.

I am not a fan of drafting DT again, but I want Brockers too. Best value.

While all mocks without trades have weaknesses because our needs are plentiful--I find it interesting that no OL are selected. Gotta protect the meal ticket.

Terrific draft. I give it an A-. I don't really have an opinion on Chris Rainey as of yet. I'll go and watch some highlight videos on him later on.:D Russell Wilson could be a good pick up, but I just hate the idea we should draft someone who could potentially do the same things Cam can do. We should let Cam be Cam, and his back up be his back up, with his on special talents.

We have so many Olinemen already on or will be on the roster without a draft. Byron Bell, Gary Williams, Schwarts, Hangarner, Zach Brown, Otah, Lee Zembia maybe Bernadue. Is any guy we get in the 5th or 6th round really going to help?

Probably not, which is why we can't address our needs solely in the draft. I mean, if Otah plays 16, I think problem is solved.

I think you meant Zach Williams, but I got the point. I really do not know much about OL, just that the Panthers (MH) said it would be addressed. Sooner or later, we need that LT to give us depth.

We are going to have to make a few moves in free agency. Until then, we are trying to patch too many holes.

Yeah Zach Williams.

We will need a LT in a year or 2 but right now the defense has so many holes I think it will be our focus this offseason.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
