I don't know about this kid Brockers. I remember when Glen Dorsey came out and my bestfriend was a KC fan. I told him I think you guy's made a bad mistake in taking Dorsey. I just can't put my finger on Brockers yet. I'm usually right about players who I want the Panthers to draft or who they should draft. I wanted Cam,Stew, gamble, and Connor all of those guy's.I'm hearing a lot of comparison for Brockers is he will be some what similar to Richard Seymour. We can only pray if he be anything like Seymour which is a great talent. I really think we should get help on the Dline or Oline this draft.

Then who do you suggest? I like us trading down, but who would be worth our pick in your opinion?

I think if Richardson doesn't go to Tampa ( Then Claiborne might be available?) or someone falls in love with Tannehill, or one of the OT. Any of those might draw offers from Seattle, NE, Cincy, Cleveland.....

DTs rarely get the press of a DE or LB, but doesn't mean theyre not doing a great job. I hardly heard anything about Dareus at Buffalo, but I think he had a pretty good year. I guess I fall for that "impact" media attention too.

I actually heard quite a bit about Dareus, especially once he switched to nose tackle. Apparently he was a man-child out there.

It's hard to argue the Rookie of the Year wasn't the BPA, unless you're arguing the Panthers should have drafted Tyron Smith.

So you use NFL rookie year stats when determining who was BPA in the draft? Doesn't BPA refer to BPA before the fact? BPA doesn't always turn out to be a great player so I would think BPA before the draft and after it would be very different. You can still take BPA in the draft and get a player who ultimately wasn't BPA. Seems like you're using hindsight to support a statement.

Hurney won't draft him unless he is positive he will be a solid pick, we will go safe with o-line before taking a flier on a boom or bust guy. Just my opinion
what makes you think that this team will play it safe in the draft?

hurney is a gambling machine already and the new organizational mindset is to swing for the fences (that's why they didn't take the safe route and took cam newton rather than a "safer" pick like dareus or peterson last year.

Last year was really when Hurney gambled in the 1st round, even though Cam wasn't much of a gamble to him because he knew he was gonna be a good QB.

Stewart was a safe pick, Gross was a safe pick, Peppers was a safe pick. If anything Hurney likes to gamble in the later rounds with a player like Hogan or Brown etc. Everyone else was pretty much BPA.
