Mayock hits all the Huddle sore spots; Luck vs. Newton, AJ, and Coples

I have never ever heard of a work ethic problem for The Golden Calf of Bristol. Every one praises the strides he has made and his outstanding work ethic. However they also say he has bad throwing motion(which to me is work ethic problem if it's still not fixed), Poor footwork (work ethic), and problems reading defenses (yup, sounds work ethic question to me). However his work ethics are never ever questioned? Why?

YET, people will still ask can The Golden Calf of Bristol/Denver have success once teams get a chance to really gameplan for what he does in that offense. Can he adjust?

Why would he stop working hard? What in his past would make it seem like he wouldn't work hard?

To me, that doesn't question Newton working hard. Just having a good work ethic or being able to maintain one isn't really what is being questioned.

It is, does Newton have another gear he can take things to once the league attempts to catch up to what the hard working talented kid is able to do in this league. I don't think that is racist or silly. Lots of guys haven't been able to one up NFL teams once they adjust to them.

No it's not. They are saying will Cam WORK HARD ENOUGH to overcome this. That is questioning his work ethic. No one says will Teebow work hard enough. Do you not see the subtlety in this?

What he saw him do as a rookie now shows he has the work ethic. That wasn't clear prior despite there being signs pointing to it.

B/c in COLLEGE nothing is clear. Kids can dominate without having great work ethics. Look at Dwayne Jarrett.......he looked like Megatron at USC. Raw talent in college can do wonders.

The fact Newton bounced around meant you could only talk to guys who worked with him for a year (at best). There was no way for analyst to do the type research Carolina did NOR should they be expected to in reality. If Cam had been at Auburn for 3 years.....I bet his work ethic would have been praised more by those in the media b/c there simply would have been more info to go off. .

why dont they? when pressure is coming on Brady he becomes a different player, and starts whinning.he gets frustrated, to were he wants to argue with teammates and coaches but that gets passed off as him having that want to win. even if it is for a series or 2 its still them being a different player.

his dad is a former nfl qb, and his college coach was as well.not to mention his college coach just went to nfc championship game and turned around a guy they were calling a bust. so yeah he had better coaching than Cam.

it helps when a QB has been with a program for a few years. It also helps you come to that conclusion when you aren't clearly the best athlete on the field each week.

If Luck could take over and dominate like Cam did in college single handedly.......his work ethic would be more blurry.

It just that comment seemed to come out of left field. Questioning his leadership/maturity/fundamentals is expected because everyone pretty much agrees. Questioning his ability to work hard feeds into a stereotype. Add that to the fact that the question seems to follow him with no proof makes it seem even odder. No one thinks his is grandmaster of the KKK. People tend to go extremist around here. However people are seeing things applied to Cam that other QB's don't get and the question of why gets asked.
