Does anyone have an update on Beason?

The surgery was performed in Charlotte by Carolina Panthers team physician Robert Anderson, one of the best-known foot specialists in the sports world.

This was talking about Ryan Tannehill's surgery. But I would assume he is the guy working with Beason. If so I would imagine at least the fact that he is one of the best is a good sign.

He was on FNZ a couple weeks back. Said he and TD were going hard 6 days a week. The doctors told him because he sat out a year he just added 5 more to his career. He said they cleared out all of the tendonitis and spurs that were the problem. Everything is attached working and hes at about 85% right now. Expects to be a full go by training camp. Will probly miss OTA's and mini camps. Sounds Good to me...

I keep hearing that coming back from an achilles issue is one of the toughest things an athlete may have to do. I never popped one personally so I cant say, but every time I hear Beason in an interview he says that doctors are telling him he's ahead of schedule :cornut:

2012 THE REVENGE OF THE BEAST!!!

These injuried aren't what they used to be, especially for pro athletes who sole purpose during this process is to heal properly.

Medical science has come a long way and we all know Beason is going to go nuts in recovery. Luckily he has TD with him who'll can help keep him in check and prevent him from pushing too hard and endangering the process.

I really have no concerns about Beason, Edwards, Schwartz and a host of others. TD is my only real concern.

I don't like hearing 'Ahead of schedule', I'd prefer to hear 'Right on schedule with no issues.'

Last time I heard ahead of schedule was in reference to Thomas davis, each time he proceeded to blow out his knee once again.

Main difference is TD was ahead of schedule and still rushed back trying to do too much. I think Beason has learned to just chill and rehab hard but make sure he's 110% before he goes back out there. And when he does get back out there it's going to be EPIC.

I don't often agree w/ Gantt.......but I do on TD. I don't think he rushed back. I just don't think his body can't hold up to what TD can get it to do. Gantt said TD was just too fast, strong, explosive.....not all bodies can handle that type stuff. I think TD's body has said enough is enough.

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
