Former Detroit Piston Allen Iverson reportedly is just about broke. He can't pay an $860,000 bill he owes to a jeweler, so a Georgia judge has seized his assets.

The whole ordeal, including the fact that Iverson made about $154 million in salary (not counting endorsements), is laid out here by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

He must have the same disdain for savings accounts as he does for basketball practice.

Man, I hate stories like this. Homie was one of my favorite players growing up. I still remember playing ball on the court as a kid, trying to crossover defenders like Iverson used to.

I heard the Lakers were interested in him, provided he spend some time in the development league. I know he's done some dirt in his lifetime, but he's a good dude and I hope he gets out of this. Hard to believe he was averaging 20+ a game with the Nuggets a few seasons ago

      If the dude can be a true #1 option, and I think he can be, then it's not a wasted pick or trying to be a poverty franchise. It's taking a game changer, which the Panthers need.

      Chinn is 6'3" 220, Luvu is 6'3 235, Walker is 6'2 245. He is nothing like Chinn. He is not a gadget player, he is a true ILB that can rush the passer and play edge on passing downs.  He is also a leader, which we definitely need on defense, especially with Shaq gone.
