jordan went to college~

& hit the game winning shot in the NCAA title game. That's the real reason LeBron skipped college, he didn't want March Madness to expose him as the fraud & choke artist he is.

Phenomenal game yesterday from Lebron. Now if he could just become a consistently good player in the fourth quarter I would have no problem dubbing him greatest player right now. He surely has proven to be the most talented.

LeBron drops 40,18, & 9 in a clutch win. Kobe gets 42 in a 16 point blowout. Any questions?

What the hell is wrong with this guy?! LMAO. Good hell bro... You ever seen Kobe's bench homie? Thought so. Give Kobe someone like Wade on his team and see what happens bruh. Lol honestly...

If David Stern didn't hate the Lakers and we had CP3 things would be a little different right now just sayin'.

Y'all laker fans need to get over that CP3 thing lol. He's on the other side now, and looking like he's going to sign an extension. He didn't really wanna be a Laker. Y'all could've possibly had Dwight, but he doesn't wanna be a Laker either. Dude doesn't wanna play with Kobe. And don't start complaining about the bench and supporting cast now. Just sit back and join us bobcat fans watching the rest of the playoffs.

NEW YORK (AP) NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James was the leading vote-getter for the league's all-defensive squad Wednesday, while Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler didn't even crack the first team.

Confused? So were plenty of others - even a Harvard graduate.

Jeremy Lin, Chandler's teammate in New York, took to Twitter to ask for an explanation of how that was possible.

The answer is because the voting is done by different parties. A media panel voted for Defensive Player of the Year, while the all-defensive team vote was conducted by the league's 30 head coaches, who voted for a first and second team by position and were not allowed to pick their own players.

They favored Orlando's Dwight Howard, the NBA's leading rebounder and its top defensive player three straight years before Chandler, as their center.

Also on the first team were Thunder forward Serge Ibaka, who led the league in blocks and was runner-up to Chandler for Defensive Player of the Year; Clippers guard Chris Paul, the league leader in steals; and Grizzlies guard Tony Allen.

Ibaka and Allen earned first-team honors for the first time.

James totaled 53 points, including 24 first-team votes. He averaged 1.9 steals and 7.9 rebounds as Miami ranked fourth in the league in opponent scoring.

Joining on Chandler on the second team were Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett of the Celtics, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, and Chicago forward Luol Deng.

LeBron makes 1st team all defense for the 4th consecutive season. Its interesting to see how the coaches gave him the most votes, but didn't even have the DPOY on the 1st team. Im of the opinion, the NY media is responsible for Chandler getting DPOY when he didnt clearly deserve it this year. I always felt LeBron and Ibaka were more worthy candidates, and that Chandler should've got it LAST YEAR with the championship D he provided the Mavs.

Despite having a reputation of being a playoff choker, LeBron James leads all players in playoff scoring in 2012.

His 2012 playoff stat line of...

29.9 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 5.5 APG, 2.1 SPG 74.3 FT%

is nothing to sneeze at. And compares favorably to Karl Malone who I've been comparing him to this playoff.

Karl Malone's playoff stats (193 games)

24.7 PPG, 10.7 RPG, 3.2 APG, 73.6 FT%

LeBron's 3,026 playoff points has him at #19 on the all time playoff scoring list directly ahead of first ballot HOFers like James Worthy, Clyde Drexler, Reggie Miller, and Charles Barkley. Think about that for a second, all the great moments and playoff games those guys have had in their careers, LeBron at 27 has already surpassed them.

His playoff career scoring average of 28.8 rests at #4 all time behind Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, & Jerry West (all 3 HOFers or soon to be)

Title this year or not, LeBron is already a first ballot HOFer and is only adding to his legacy the closer he gets to a championship. And the reputation of "playoff choker" doesnt hold up.

In 1991, LeBron's GM Pat Riley sat down and interviewed Michael Jordan (28 years old). In this interview before his first championship Jordan explains how winning a title doesnt define him and how not winning one "wouldn't tarnish his career".

So basically your argument is Jordan didn't win his titles completely by himself? Scottie Pippen & Dennis Rodman are the only two good players Jordan ever had. John Paxton, Steve Kerr, Tony Kukoc, Bill Weddington, Luc Longley, etc. LOL

Wade & Bosh > Pippen & Rodman

& Rodman was only around for the 2nd 3-peat. Other than those two guys Jordan was surrounded by scrubs. LeBron can put up all the big numbers he wants but when it's crunch time he needs Wade or Bosh to carry him because he can't.

    • True.  Sam and Baker did not do well here but went on to better things under better coaching, circumstances or both.  The real question is, ‘why aren’t the Panthers able to get improved performance out of ‘broken toys’, similar to Minnesota and Tampa? That is a rhetorical question.  I think we know the answer.   [The cultural reference to Pogo dates me, I admit.]
    • Did I mention that he was on worse teams?  Yes.  Do QBs alone win games?  No.  Did Cam, on a much better team with some awesome defenses ever have 2 consecutive winning seasons?  No.  So now you are cherry picking,  If the overall stats are similar, you take a look at him.   I told you that you look at his skill set---but you wanted to tell me that he sucks and mentioned performance.  I just presented performance--and his numbers are very similar to Cam Newton's numbers--a player most call the best Panther QB ever--and I agree.  By the way, Fumbles are evidence of how bad his OL has been--so you are saying that a QB in a situation worse than Cam's who has stats and physical abilities very similar to Cam's should not be given a look when you have Bryce Young at QB?  You are going with that story because you simply talked your way into a corner and now you are trying to save face.  No good GM would do what you suggest because "he sucks."  Sorry, but the facts do not support you.  But no matter what eye-opening details I provide, there are some who are going to go their Google machines to try to find some reason to support an ignorant approach to developing the QB position.  You ignored the similarities to Cam and went cherry picking.  I know what you are doing--but I am only suggesting (as I have stated before) that we bring him in as one of three approaches to resolving the QB issue. Compete with Bryce and draft a QB. Basically, I am suggesting that Jones has the potential to replace Dalton and compete with Young.  He is a battered stock that could get better in a better situation--that is human nature.  Instead, I am called a Daniel Jones lover and superfan.  That is good debate--But a real sign of mature thinking is the inability to LOGICALLY consider alternative perspectives--which is actually a characteristic of intelligence.  Just so you know, I critique and perform research in my job.  I am often amazed at how the numbers do not support my suppositions.  I learned that my impression is often wrong until I look at the data.  In this case, I have considered all the important variables and he should get a shot.  Numbers don't lie--and when you and others resort to twisted name calling directed toward the poster--it verifies my position.
    • I don’t get this, I know that is the popular thought process but I just don’t think it’s true.  For instance head to head last year the ACC had a winning record against the SEC.  The SEC had a losing record in bowl games. This year so far the head to head is 2-3 SEC and that’s with a fluke Vandy win in week one.  I see the ACC taking another head to head winning season after next week.  The SEC is mostly hype with 3 good teams, in my opinion.  But to say any ACC team would get exposed I believe is a stretch
