no, you don't. you can't get the parts as inexpensively as someone that mass produces them.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229283

you could not build that computer for that low of a price

and that's not even counting catching a similar model refurb or open box

an i5 build does not cost 1500 bro

i5 defiantely does not cost that much.

Yeah, so let's price a comparable, i7 rig that PSC linked to at Newegg. It's $960 plus $29 shipping, call it $990.

That price includes a garbage 600 watt PSU you'll want to change out immediately and a butt ugly case. PSU costy $100, live with the butt ugly Thermaltake case, $0. Price now is $1090 and dont think about sending the whole system back for a warranty repair because you've changed out some of the parts on the Cyberpower setup already.

So an i7 with an OCZ 750 watt PSU and a nice looking case goes for $1027 from Newegg, not shown is a $25 promo code on the HD bringing it to $1002 plus $18 shipping cost so call it $1020. This price is before $45 in rebates if you bother to send them in. I didn't bother with matching the crappy mouse and KB with the Cyber deal they're throw aways much like the PSU anyway.

Yeah, I don't have an i5, I do have a hex core Phenom. I make up for it with 560 ti in 2 way SLI though.

Yeah the whole overclocking community has dwindled as CPUs have surpassed what is required in most cases and your video card becomes critical to a gamer's ability to play at a native resolution to their LCD/LED with eye candy on full.

Yeah, the CPU is almost never the bottleneck these days. I have my 1100t ever so slightly overclocked but it's the gpus that are more important to me. I'm kind of sad I added another 560 ti with the Kepler launch soon on the horizon and the 7000 series launching for AMD right now.
